Welcome to The Wildstead
at Diamond D Farm
A natureβbased farm enrichment program rooted in land, family, and ancestral wisdom.
At The Wildstead, children learn through connection—to the soil beneath their feet, the rhythms of the seasons, the animals that share our land, and the wisdom already alive inside them. Hosted on our working family farm, our weekly farm school offers children a safe, joyful environment to explore, create, and grow through immersive outdoor education.
We believe childhood is meant to be experienced with muddy boots, curious questions, strong hands, and open hearts. Our program blends forest school pedagogy, permaculture education, herbal learning, and holistic child development to nurture confident, capable, and compassionate young people.

What Makes Our Farm School Different
β
π² Learning Through the Land
Our classrooms are gardens, woods, pastures, and fire circles. Children plant seeds, observe wildlife, identify herbs, build shelters, tend soil, and care for animals while learning responsibility and stewardship.
πΏ Seasonal, Rhythmic Education
Our year is structured into three trimesters—Spring, Fall, and Winter—so learning flows with the natural cycles of planting, harvest, rest, and renewal. This rhythm supports emotional regulation, resilience, and deep understanding of ecological systems.
π£ CoβOp Community Model
Families participate alongside us. Parents rotate support roles, share skills, and help cultivate a warm, supportive learning village. This keeps tuition affordable while building meaningful community.
π Rooted in Stewardship & Heritage
We honor traditional landβbased wisdom and teach children to observe first, care deeply, and act responsibly. Our approach emphasizes symbiosis with nature, gratitude, and longβterm thinking about the land we share.

Why “The Wildstead”?
The name “The Wildstead” reflects our belief that children thrive when they are rooted in both wildness and home.
“Wild” represents curiosity, exploration, nature, freedom, and connection to the living world. “Stead” comes from the idea of a homestead—a grounded place of belonging, stewardship, learning, and community.
Together, The Wildstead represents a space where children can grow with confidence, creativity, resilience, and deep connection to the land.

β
Why “Diamond D Farm”?
Diamond D Farm is a family-run farm built around the values of stewardship, resilience, community, and regenerative living. The farm serves as both our home and the foundation for many of the educational experiences offered through The Wildstead.
The name reflects our family’s vision of creating a place where future generations can reconnect with the land, learn practical skills, and experience a slower, more intentional way of life rooted in care for people and the earth.
