Welcome to Diamond D Farm School
A nature‑based learning community rooted in land, family, and ancestral wisdom.
At Diamond D Farm School, children learn through connection—to the soil beneath their feet, the rhythms of the seasons, the animals that share our land, and the wisdom already alive inside them. Hosted on our working family farm, our weekly farm school co‑op offers children a safe, joyful environment to explore, create, and grow through immersive outdoor education.
We believe childhood is meant to be experienced with muddy boots, curious questions, strong hands, and open hearts. Our program blends forest school pedagogy, permaculture education, herbal learning, and holistic child development to nurture confident, capable, and compassionate young people.

What Makes Our Farm School Different
🌲 Learning Through the Land
Our classrooms are gardens, woods, pastures, and fire circles. Children plant seeds, observe wildlife, identify herbs, build shelters, tend soil, and care for animals while learning responsibility and stewardship.
🌿 Seasonal, Rhythmic Education
Our year is structured into three trimesters—Spring, Fall, and Winter—so learning flows with the natural cycles of planting, harvest, rest, and renewal. This rhythm supports emotional regulation, resilience, and deep understanding of ecological systems.
👣 Co‑Op Community Model
Families participate alongside us. Parents rotate support roles, share skills, and help cultivate a warm, supportive learning village. This keeps tuition affordable while building meaningful community.
🌎 Rooted in Stewardship & Heritage
We honor traditional land‑based wisdom and teach children to observe first, care deeply, and act responsibly. Our approach emphasizes symbiosis with nature, gratitude, and long‑term thinking about the land we share.
What Children Experience
Each weekly session includes:
• Free nature play and exploration
• Morning circle with seasonal stories and songs
• Hands‑on farm, forest, or herbal activities
• Creative projects using natural materials
• Nature journaling and reflection
• Land‑care tasks and closing gratitude circle
Children may plant gardens, harvest herbs, track animals, build shelters, learn safe tool use, create natural dyes, cook over a fire, or simply lie in the grass and watch clouds—because wonder is part of education too.
